{"id":395,"date":"2024-04-07T15:44:00","date_gmt":"2024-04-07T15:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/actmckinney.org\/?p=395"},"modified":"2024-04-07T15:44:01","modified_gmt":"2024-04-07T15:44:01","slug":"implication-of-christ-resurrection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/actmckinney.org\/?p=395","title":{"rendered":"IMPLICATION OF CHRIST RESURRECTION"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>ISAIAH 25: 6-9, 1 CORINTHIANS 15: 12-20, JOHN 20: 1-18<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sadducees according Matthew 22:23-33 came to question Jesus about resurrection because they don\u2019t believe in the resurrection, using the scenario of a woman who married 7 brothers because they were dying, and all died. The question was: whose wife will she be and Jesus said at the resurrection there will be no marriage because we will be like angels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many have said and many more are saying that there is no resurrection. Yet the resurrection of Jesus from the dead is a confirmation that we all shall rise like him from the dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to 1 Corinthians 15:12-20 <strong>AND<\/strong> 1 Thessalonians 4, <sup>13<\/sup>Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope.&nbsp;<sup>14<\/sup>We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.&nbsp;<sup>15<\/sup>According to the Lord&#8217;s own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.&nbsp;<sup>16<\/sup>For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.&nbsp;<sup>17<\/sup>After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.&nbsp;<sup>18<\/sup>Therefore encourage each other with these words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, we are expected to encourage each other to remain steady in faith because Jesus actually rose from death<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>IMPLICATION OF HIS RESURRECTION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Grace,<\/strong> 1 Corinthians 5,<strong><sup> 16\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>So from now on we regard no one from a worldly\u00a0point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.\u00a0<strong><sup>17\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,\u00a0the new creation\u00a0has come: The old has gone, the new is here!\u00a0<strong><sup>18\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>All this is from God,\u00a0who reconciled us to himself through Christ\u00a0and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:\u00a0<strong><sup>19\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people\u2019s sins against them.\u00a0And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Access to the father<\/strong>, Ephesians 2, <strong><sup>14\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>For he himself is our peace,\u00a0who has made the two groups one\u00a0and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility,\u00a0<strong><sup>15\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>by setting aside in his flesh\u00a0the law with its commands and regulations.\u00a0His purpose was to create in himself one\u00a0new humanity out of the two, thus making peace,\u00a0<strong><sup>16\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross,\u00a0by which he put to death their hostility.\u00a0<strong><sup>17\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>He came and preached peace\u00a0to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.\u00a0<strong><sup>18\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>For through him we both have access\u00a0to the Father\u00a0by one Spirit. <strong><sup>19\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers,\u00a0but fellow citizens\u00a0with God\u2019s people and also members of his household<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Deliverance from Sin<\/strong>, Colossians 1, <strong><sup>9\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>For this reason, since the day we heard about you,\u00a0we have not stopped praying for you.\u00a0We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will\u00a0through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,<sup>[<\/sup><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Colossians%201&amp;version=NIV#fen-NIV-29475e\"><sup>e<\/sup><\/a><sup>]<\/sup>\u00a0<strong><sup>10\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>so that you may live a life worthy\u00a0of the Lord and please him\u00a0in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,\u00a0<strong><sup>11\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>being strengthened with all power\u00a0according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience,\u00a0<strong><sup>12\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>and giving joyful thanks to the Father,\u00a0who has qualified you<sup>[<\/sup><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Colossians%201&amp;version=NIV#fen-NIV-29478f\"><sup>f<\/sup><\/a><sup>]<\/sup>\u00a0to share in the inheritance\u00a0of his holy people in the kingdom of light.\u00a0<strong><sup>13\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness\u00a0and brought us into the kingdom\u00a0of the Son he loves,\u00a0<strong><sup>14\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>in whom we have redemption,\u00a0the forgiveness of sins.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Deliverance from death,<\/strong> 1 Corinthians 15, <strong><sup>50\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood\u00a0cannot inherit the kingdom of God,\u00a0nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.\u00a0<strong><sup>51\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Listen, I tell you a mystery:\u00a0We will not all sleep,\u00a0but we will all be changed\u2014\u00a0<strong><sup>52\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound,\u00a0the dead\u00a0will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.\u00a0<strong><sup>53\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>For the perishable\u00a0must clothe itself with the imperishable,\u00a0and the mortal with immortality.\u00a0<strong><sup>54\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: \u201cDeath has been swallowed up in victory.\u201d<sup> <strong>55\u00a0<\/strong><\/sup>\u201cWhere, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?\u201d<sup> <strong>56\u00a0<\/strong><\/sup>The sting of death is sin,\u00a0and the power of sin is the law.\u00a0<strong><sup>57\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>But thanks be to God!\u00a0He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Life (healing)<\/strong> Romans 8, 10 But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. 11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. <strong>AND<\/strong> Isaiah 55, <strong><sup>4\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering,<br>yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. <strong><sup>5\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>But he was pierced\u00a0for our transgressions, he was crushed\u00a0for our iniquities; the punishment\u00a0that\u00a0 brought us peace\u00a0was on him, and by his wounds\u00a0we are healed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>It gives solidity or \u00a0credibility to Jesus\u2019 words<\/strong>; He is trustworthy for He promised, and it came to pass. Confirms that the scripture is true. John 20:1-18<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>We have assurance that He\u2019s coming back<\/strong>, John 14, \u201cDo not let your hearts be troubled.\u00a0You believe\u00a0in God<sup>[<\/sup><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=John+14&amp;version=NIV#fen-NIV-26670a\"><sup>a<\/sup><\/a><sup>]<\/sup>;\u00a0believe also in me.\u00a0<strong><sup>2\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>My Father\u2019s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there\u00a0to prepare a place for you?\u00a0<strong><sup>3\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back\u00a0and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026.He\u2019s coming back again my Lord is coming back, He went away and promised\u2026.. song<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Gives birth to the arrival of the Holy Spirit.<\/strong> John 16, <strong><sup>4\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>I have told you this, so that when their time comes you will remember\u00a0that I warned you about them. I did not tell you this from the beginning because I was with you,\u00a0<strong><sup>5\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>but now I am going to him who sent me.\u00a0None of you asks me, \u2018Where are you going?\u2019\u00a0<strong><sup>6\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Rather, you are filled with grief\u00a0because I have said these things.\u00a0<strong><sup>7\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away.
