Break up your fallow ground: Immorality and Immoral Acts

Last week, I started the series ‘Break up your fallow ground’. I give God thanks for the privilege to continue this topic with you today. Today, I will be focusing on ‘BREAK UP THE FALLOW GROUND OF IMMORALITY AND IMMORAL ACT’

I see a lot of immorality and immoral acts among people- the church included. The trendy term is called ‘dating and relationship,’ and I see young people -unmarried- living together, and soon enough, the girl gets pregnant. I have noticed that in today’s society, the issue of sex is no longer perceived as God intended. Yet, the Bible teaches that Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.”- Hebrews 13:4. The statistics show that single parenting is on the rise, even in the church. I see people’s attitudes to the concept of marriage being watered down- appearing beyond repair, resulting in marriages not being valued as it once was. There are so many divorces happening within the church, and there are increasing numbers of children who lack proper parenting.

What a society of decadence!

Many married men and women are becoming more accepting of extra marital affairs.

Another grievous act I see being committed under the sun: men sleeping with men; women sleeping with women; humans with animals – all in the name of marriage.

This wasn’t so from the beginning (Matthew 19:8).

I’d like to draw your attention to the family of David, what immorality brought on him and his family, and how God dealt with him- (1 Samuel 16: 22-end). Not only that, but his kingdom was torn apart and he became a man who sought for refuge, instead of being the one whom provided refuge to others.

Why destroy your entire life for enjoying five minutes of sin?

Return to God; He is ever ready to accept you!
